The reactions from the usual groups on the left and Democrat politicians have consisted of—well, the same histrionics they have displayed to try to poison decades of Supreme Court nominations and decisions.

Judge Ketanjii Brown Jackson tried to sound like an originalist or textualist at her Supreme Court confirmation hearings because that is what Americans want in their judges. They do not want judges who are going to be politicians in robes, rubber-stamping radical left-wing policies.

Don't expect the hearings to become a circus, as they did for Brett Kavanaugh Instead, expect Republican senators to ask probing questions about Ketanji Brown Jackson’s view of the Constitution.
