THE VIEW ratings have declined after fans vowed to boycott the talk show and demand host Whoopi Goldberg be “fired” for her “tone deaf” comments.
Whoopi, 66, has faced backlash with fans over her controversial comments in recent months.
The Sun can exclusively reveal ratings for the week of June 6 to June 10 have declined compared to recent years.
According to Soap Opera Network, ratings for the week of June 6 reached 2,285,000.
For the same week in 2021, 2,360,000 viewers tuned in.
Ratings were even higher in 2020, as there were 2,586,000 fans watching.
The decline in ratings comes amid fans boycotting the ABC talk show.
Earlier this month, Whoopi said "a**" while talking about parenting on the daytime talk show.
Whoopi said: "Sometimes you have to be an a** to be a parent."
The comedian's language didn't go down so well with viewers at home, with one writing on Reddit: "Whoopi and Sunny's [Hostin] foul language was a bit much today."

The user also called out the hosts for cursing while talking about tighter gun control.
"Between Whoopi using the word 'b***hin' and Sunny referring to Republicans 'p**sing on her leg when it's raining' I had to turn off," they wrote.
"I know they're passionate about gun issues but this is daytime TV, not the Howard Stern show. Some people have kids home for the summer."
Another posted on Twitter: "Does Whoopi really need to swear all the time?"
Others rushed to Whoopi's defense over her bold statement, however, with one fan tweeting: "Yep! Kids won't like all of your decisions but you gotta do what you gotta do."
Another wrote: "LOVE Whoopi saying 'sometimes you have to be an a** to be a parent."
Then earlier this week, Whoopi seemingly shaded her co-host Sunny Hostin.
During a Hot Topic discussion, Sunny and co-host Joy Behar got into an argument.
The two battled back and forth until the commercial-time music began to play.
That’s when Sunny decided to halt their chat and say that they’d pick it back up later, which is normally Whoopi’s role on the show.
Seemingly because of that, when the camera turned back onto the moderator for her to tell viewers they were going to break, she paused.
Whoopi stared directly into the camera, then she gave a little sideways glance to the live audience, looking annoyed by what had just happened.
One fan tweeted: “Whoopi's facial expressions are unmatched”
Another wrote: “Lol Whoopi's look to the audience!”
A third said that “Whoopi's facial expressions are priceless!”
Whoopi also got into hot water with fans in January after she claimed the Holocaust was not "about race."
She was briefly suspended from the talk show, though viewers haven't forgiven the actress for her remark.
A petition circulated on Change.org, insisting that Whoopi be let go of her hosting duties for her "repulsive verbiage and actions."
Several concerned viewers, including the Democratic National Committee, started the petition, which states: "Whoopi has made numerous remarks about race that have ruffled feathers. But her most recent comment attacking victims of the holocaust and the entire Jewish community are disgusting.
"Apologies are not enough when it comes to things like this, This can and will not be forgotten.
"We as Americans demand that she be fired from the daytime tv show 'The View' for her repulsive verbiage and actions."
The petition, created immediately following the January 31 episode, has enlisted nearly 40k signatures.
