BUYING clothes online can be a gamble, even if one item fits perfectly something in the same size might be completely wrong.
A plus-size TikTok user tried on her autumn Shein purchases, including some badly fitting items.
Pairing the piece with a classic autumnal flannel, Elena said: "So I’m originally from New England and this outfit reminds me of bonfires with friends, going apple picking, just really fun autumn stuff."
She also tried on a $19 burgundy wide-legged pinafore jumpsuit.
"I love this. This is so cute, I think it is so flattering, it’s not constricting at all. Kind of giving me a Captain Jack Sparrow moment but I love it," Elena told her followers.
"Here’s the thing, I’m 5’6” so I’m the average height of most women. These things are long, girl. I’m going to have to wear heel-heels," she said as she modeled the outfit.
Elena also showed her followers a $16 tie-dye belted dress, which she called "the culprit and the reason for the massive Shein haul."

She explained: "This dress came up on Facebook, I saw it and said 'That is so cute.' I love it, I think it fits really well. If it didn’t have the belt I probably wouldn’t love it because it does have a very boxy feel."
However, the influencer wasn't happy with all her purchases and she shared her thoughts on Shein's poor sizing when it comes to jeans.
Showing viewers a pair of distressed light blue jeans, Elena said: "I have tried jeans at Shein multiple times, they’re either too big or they’re too small."
"Now these ones, are also too big but they’re not overly big, so shopping for jeans at Shein is just difficult," she continued.
The TikTok user went on to try a pair of black distressed jeans, which she said were the perfect fit.
"She compared the inconsistent sizing with Goldilocks and the Three Bears, where one item was too big, one was too small, and one was just right.
